Are paid international student interns exempted from paying social security and medicare?

A group of us came here from another country because? the internal and student? paid, however, pay federal tax W / H, Health Care state, social security and tax W / H. State of New York. Why? We are those who pay, particularly the welfare state and health care know that we are not citizens.
